In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Pankaj Parashar offered humorous behind-the-scenes tales from making the hit movie ChaalBaaz. The director disclosed that they had a tight deadline to film the well-known song “Na Jaane Kahan Se,” as there was a potential industry strike looming.

In a conversation, it was mentioned that Sridevi, who portrayed dual roles in the movie, requested the creation of something visually striking. They then sketched out storyboards for this idea. Although the actress found the concept captivating, it added tension to Saroj Khan as the choreographer had to meet these expectations. In the course of their discussion, Parashar suggested to Khan that they should incorporate Sunny Deol, the main actor, in a dance sequence within the film.

Later on, when they demonstrated the dance moves to Sunny Deol, he excused himself to use the restroom and wasn’t seen again for about two hours. According to the filmmaker, he glanced at the steps and said, “I’ll be right back from the bathroom,” but he didn’t return; instead, he was untraceable for a span of two hours.

When inquired about whether the actor seemed anxious over the dance moves, the director concurred and mentioned that Sridevi had been patiently waiting on set, causing some curiosity as to the whereabouts of the main performer. Yet, upon Deol’s return, it was a complete change in circumstances.

As I recount the story, let me tell you: After a mysterious disappearance lasting two hours, he returned and completed the task. To this day, I’m still unsure about where he vanished to. We all eagerly waited during that time, but in the end, he delivered. And when he did, the entire team burst into applause. That was what Pankaj shared with us, clarifying Sunny’s alleged dissatisfaction regarding his screen time in the movie, emphasizing instead that the actor maintained a commendable level of professionalism with his work.
