The two secret characters in question are Pauline and Ninji.

Among the earliest female characters in the Mario series, Pauline has been missing for a long time. Therefore, hearing about her return stirs up feelings of nostalgia.

Recently, Ninji has gained widespread popularity thanks to his unique, sneaky appearance reminiscent of a ninja, which contrasts with his initial role as an adversary in early Mario games.

You don’t need to finish the whole game or master challenging modes to uncover these mysterious characters; instead, you can find them when you explore a concealed spot on the game’s world map, like Pauline.

Once you step into the Party Plaza, you should hop aboard the Hot Air Balloon for a bird’s-eye perspective of various locations. During your flight, steer yourself towards Minigame Bay – a central gaming hub.

Pauline can be found on a tiny, sandy islet to your left, just beyond the bay. Once identified, utilize the magnifying glass icon (X button) for close-up viewing, followed by engagement (pressing ‘A’) with her.

Once you’ve completed this task, Pauline will become accessible, allowing you to choose her in upcoming games. In addition, fresh themed items will go on sale in the Card Shop, which is found within the Party Plaza.

To access Ninji, you’ll follow a similar method. Once you’ve climbed aboard the Hot Air Balloon, adjust your view towards the Rhythm Kitchen. You’ll find Ninji on a green island located behind the Rhythm Kitchen. Specifically, he is perched atop the taller of two rocks.

Just like Pauline, you’ll want to focus in on him and engage with him. After he’s been activated, you’ll be able to choose Ninji across all game settings, and additional items will become available for purchase in the Card Shop.

Once unleashed, both Pauline and Ninji are free to be utilized across all boards or mini-games without the need for starting over any active game sessions.

In contrast to past Mario Party titles, every character in Super Mario Party Jambree uses the same dice mechanics instead of having individual ones for each character.
