A week ago marks one year since DC Studios commenced filming for ‘Superman‘, and this week, James Gunn has marked the occasion by sharing a fresh glimpse into the eagerly awaited DC Universe film. In the role of the Kryptonian hero is David Corenswet, with Gunn’s new project within the DC franchise poised to ignite the rebooted cinematic universe on the big screen. Preliminary feedback indicates that ‘Superman’ will be the standout superhero movie of the summer, and this latest sneak peek is bound to further stoke excitement for the reboot.
Gunn shared on X a picture of Superman standing in snow with the caption, “A year ago today. Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Swiftly heading towards July 11, 2025.” The scene where this image was taken, hinted at in the groundbreaking Superman trailer, is where the Fortress of Solitude, his main operating base, resides. Even though the famous location isn’t visible in the new photo, fans can infer the significance of a Superman wandering through snowy landscapes.
