In an unexpected turn of events, two movies – Dhoom and Happy New Year – were voted as favorites by fans.
On April 24, TopMob carried out a survey to discover which heist movie has consistently captivated viewers throughout the years. Taking the lead are Dhoom, featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, and Happy New Year, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. These two films each garnered 25% of the total votes.
Following closely behind was Akshay Kumar’s Special 26, garnering a significant 21.88% of the votes. Bunty Aur Babli took the second spot with 18.75%, while Aankhen trailed behind with only 9.38% of the audience vote.
Discussing Dhoom, which hit the screens in 2004, is about a pulse-pounding action-adventure that masterfully combines motorbike chases and sophisticated heists. The movie centers around a criminal gang headed by Aryan (played by John Abraham), who are pursued relentlessly by the skilled police officers Jai and Ali, played by Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
Additionally, Esha Deol and Rimii Sen are also part of the cast. Over time, Dhoom has become one of India’s most recognized action series, and there are rumors suggesting that Ranbir Kapoor could potentially carry on the legacy with Dhoom 4.
Additionally, another successful movie titled “Happy New Year,” which premiered in 2014, offers an engaging blend of glitz, laughter, and intense storyline. This film, helmed by Farah Khan, presents a peculiar ensemble of unlikely heroes who devise a daring diamond heist while disguised as dance contestants in Dubai.
