Surreal Estate’s Tim Rozon & Sarah Levy Celebrate the Return of [Spoiler] in Season 3, Episode 2

In the thrilling third season episode of SurrealEstate titled “Night Terrors,” I found myself engrossed in a chilling tale that hinted at a father and son’s struggle with an eerie supernatural influence. Yet, it was the subplots that truly enriched the Roman-Ireland Agency’s captivating universe. As a dedicated gamer, I can relate this to a role-playing game where the main quest is intriguing, but the side missions are what flesh out the world and make it feel alive.

Specifically, there’s a fresh contender for the position of front manager, and it turns out that Audrey is exceptional. Meanwhile, when Luke (Tim Rozon) and Susan (Sarah Levy) require advanced technology to aid in their main case involving a father who may be helicopter-parenting his teen son due to suspected demonic possession, they look to Auggie (Maurice Dean Wint) for the necessary tech and know-how to rescue the boy’s life.

This week’s wrap-up on SYFY WIRE’s SurrealEstate discusses the reappearance of a cherished character from the past, as Rozon and Levy share their thoughts. The episode is titled “Night Terrors.

Sarah Levy talks SurrealEstate Season 3, Episode 2, “Night Terrors”

Last week’s season opener saw Luke and Susan bring in aspiring lawyer Zooey L’Enfant (Savannah Basley) to help with phone answering and office management in their Roman-Ireland office. However, the new hire proved to be a poor fit, leading Zooey to advise them to find a more suitable replacement. Audrey appears to be an ideal candidate… until they mention the supernatural aspects of the job, at which point she graciously resigns.

In their series, they’re accustomed to encountering various individuals in houses – be it new vendors, buyers, or paranormal entities. However, what they aren’t comfortable with is meeting new colleagues. As Levy explained to SYFY WIRE, the unexpected sight of someone else at reception in their office creates a momentary pause, like a record skipping.

Levy explained, “It disrupts the rapport you, as performers, have established with each other when Savannah is at her desk and Maurice drops by, and the whole team hangs out in the office. It’s unusual for actors to feel uneasy moving around the set because of a new face. In a way, it was like reality mirroring fiction. Despite everyone being fantastic, and us being fortunate to have such kind, gifted guest stars, it’s strange seeing someone working in the office whom we haven’t met before.

Maurice Dean Wint’s Auggie comes back to the Roman-Ireland Agency in SurrealEstate Season 3, Episode 2

In this installment, Auggie, who’s spent three years in ASDRA’s R&D department, finds himself at a crossroads. Despite working alongside his girlfriend Rochelle (Joy Tanner), he’s been disheartened by the condescending attitudes of his colleagues, as they’ve embraced the company’s shift towards weapons manufacturing.

The situation becomes complicated when Rochelle is in line for a major promotion as an executive director. She emphasizes to Auggie that she must maintain a flawless professional image during the decisive period. However, this coincides with Auggie being asked by Luke for assistance on their puzzling supernatural case. Being considerate of his ex-boss and the gravity of the case, Auggie discreetly provides Luke with essential equipment from the ASDRA storage room and offers consultancy to ensure the youngster doesn’t face difficulties.

Eventually, Auggie plays a crucial role in saving someone’s life and shares this with Rochelle. However, her response is intense anger, leading to his termination… which might have been beneficial. Meanwhile, Luke and Susan bring their tech specialist back into their group, restoring another piece of the jigsaw that forms their unique family unit.

Rozon stated that Auggie should be in Roman-Ireland, a place where they all seemed to converge naturally. It was destined, he added, and it’s the safest place for Auggie, as he understands. Although his emotions pull him towards the woman he cherishes, true happiness for Auggie lies in helping others. Despite ASDRA doing good deeds, it doesn’t have the same impact or sincerity that Rozon believes Roman-Ireland does. In essence, we are just another part of what makes Auggie feel at peace. We genuinely care about those we aim to assist, and I believe this is something that resonates deeply with Auggie.
