SurrealEstate Brings a Demon Face Off – and Shocking Death – in Season 3 Finale

On SYFY’s “SurrealEstate,” it boils down to this: Luke, played by Tim Rozon, and his team at Roman Ireland have uncovered a shocking truth – his latest client, Tyler MacNeil, is none other than Luke’s childhood imaginary friend (and previously a terrifying demon trapped inside a teddy bear named) Elvis the Elephant.

But can Luke actually stop him once and for all, all these years later?

What happens in SurrealEstate‘s Season 3 Finale?

Luke’s team is investigating the real identity of Elvis the Elephant, uncovering the shocking truth that he is in fact a malevolent entity known as “The Laughing Demon.” However, this moniker doesn’t imply Elvis will be entertaining the crowd with comedy, quite the contrary. The name refers to a type of demon who despises laughter or mockery, for it is the only means by which he can be vanquished.

However, simply discovering this isn’t sufficient; they also need to uncover his genuine, true demon name. They suspect that an ancient book kept by the Catholic Church might contain his name, so Susan and Lomax disguise themselves as nuns and execute a humorous undercover heist to steal the book. Later, Zooey plans to investigate further in order to find out his real name.

Regarding setting a trap to confront Tyler or Elvis, Luke intends to organize a party at the beloved local bar, The Telltale Heart, which he also decides to buy this week since it’s up for sale. This gathering of his team and friends will offer Luke an opportunity to make fun of Tyler or Elvis in front of everyone, hoping that this public humiliation will discourage him.

As a gamer, even though Tyler/Elvis was trying to spoil everyone’s fun at the party by poisoning us, Lomax quickly thwarted his scheme when she caught him tampering with the drinks before the toast. Somehow, Tyler/Elvis’s plan unfolded smoothly. But Luke’s laughter trick made Tyler/Elvis stumble, and August provided a useful ghost-fighting tool. Just when we needed it most, Zooey arrived right on time with the demon’s name, saving the day.

Tyler or Elvis suffers a loss, Luke acquires the bar and has successfully mended fences with Megan, his long-term love interest whom he’s had a rollercoaster relationship with since their initial encounter in the first season. They are now engaged, indicating that both Luke’s professional and personal life seem to be improving significantly.

Who dies in SurrealEstate‘s Season 3 finale?

August Ripley, played by Maurice Dean Wint.

However, an episode of SurrealEstate wouldn’t be complete without a surprise: As it appeared that the team was heading towards a joyful conclusion, August’s peaceful evening at home is disrupted by Death herself – a character Luke had encountered earlier in the season. She has arrived to claim August, and the following scene shows the team attending August’s funeral for an emotional farewell.

At the Telltale Heart, the team organizes a memorial gathering for August. As Luke is preparing to leave, he hears a voice that sounds familiar – it’s August, instructing him to turn around.

Fade to black.

As the season draws to a close, it’s unclear whether August is simply bidding farewell to Luke or if he requires assistance. The message remains undeciphered.
