Sutton Foster’s ‘Younger’ Hits Netflix Top 10, Proving It’s the Perfect Binge-Watch!

Lately, Sutton Foster has been making headlines predominantly because of her personal affairs. It’s rumored that she’s dating Hugh Jackman, best known for his role as Wolverine, whom she collaborated with on the musical production The Music Man last year. However, this week, attention is shifting towards her professional life as the series Younger has entered Netflix’s Top 10 list, highlighting her career more prominently.

It’s not the first time “Younger” has been popular, but I’m delighted to see Darren Star’s series similar to “Emily in Paris” is gaining attention. In fact, I prefer “Younger” tremendously over “Emily in Paris”. It offers fashion and charming romance narratives without some of the elements that have earned the Paris and Rome-set show a fair share of critics. And this week, it ranks at No. 5 on Netflix.

The series “Younger” recently debuted on Netflix’s schedule in early January, and it has been consistently ranking high on Netflix’s Top 10 TV list (especially in the US) since then. This week, it has been the most-watched non-original show streaming on Netflix, with only original series such as “The Night Agent” Season 2, Taylor Kitsch’s miniseries “American Primeval”, “W.A.G.S. To Riches”, “XO, Kitty”, and the new season of “Squid Game” appearing higher in the Top 10 list.

Why Younger Is So Perfect For Netflix Subscribers

As a film enthusiast, I must confess that after immersing myself in the world of Emily in Paris, there’s another series that truly captivates me – Younger. The cast is simply outstanding, with Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Miriam Shor, and Debi Mazar gracing our screens, along with Peter Hermann, who happens to be married to Mariska Hargitay. To top it off, there have been cameos from talented actresses like Phoebe Dynevor, who made an appearance before she joined the Netflix family as a leading lady in the first season of Bridgerton.

If you appreciate Darren Star’s unique blend of witty humor, fashionable flair, and emotionally resonant storylines, then you’re likely to take a liking to the series Younger. While Sutton Foster is primarily recognized for her outstanding stage performances, she has also left an indelible mark on television. For me, Younger stands out as both Foster’s most captivating role and the one I find myself revisiting time and again. It offers a comforting mix of awkward moments and charm, making it a natural choice for binge-watching with your Netflix subscription. It’s no wonder that it has already gained a devoted following on streaming platforms.

As a dedicated film enthusiast, I can’t help but marvel at the expansive library of content that this show offers. It consistently delivers 12 episodes per season over an impressive seven-season run. Compared to its counterpart on the same platform, “Emily in Paris,” which was just renewed for Season 5, this show has a significantly larger pool of episodes (each season consists of only 10).

In the past few months, most news headlines about Sutton Foster have centered around her rumored relationship with Hugh Jackman. They first met on the Broadway stage of “The Music Man” while both were still married. Subsequently, they each announced their separations from their respective partners, and were later spotted together in public after New Year’s day. It’s delightful to see them progressing in their relationship, but what truly excites me is the attention being paid to their professional accomplishments. Jackman’s performances in “Deadpool” and “Wolverine” for Disney+ have also been critically acclaimed.

It’s hardly surprising that Netflix ranks among the top streaming services due to its extensive library of content. Personally, though, I couldn’t be more thrilled that “Younger” has finally made it to the platform. In fact, I have a solid plan for how I’ll be spending my weekend now!
