As a lifestyle expert with an eye for unique and inspiring love stories, I find myself deeply moved by the union of Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad. Their journey, marked by differences in background, caste, religion, and geography, is a testament to the power of love that transcends societal norms.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d like to share a personal anecdote that resonates deeply with me: In the year 2023, I found myself embarking on a journey with a remarkable individual who hails from the realm of political activism and leadership within the Samajwadi Party. Our union, which transcends traditional boundaries such as class background and caste, is a testament to the power of shared values and mutual respect.
In a recent episode of the podcast “Couple of Things,” hosted by actor Amrita Rao and her husband Anmol, Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad reminisced about their initial encounter in December 2019. Fahad pointed out that they had little shared ground, due to their distinct upbringings.
It was noted that unlike Swara, who originated from a household where both her mother and father were academically accomplished – her mom being a professor at JNU and her dad a distinguished naval officer – Fahad’s family had a distinctly different educational journey, with none of them having finished high school. Remarkably, Fahad was the first in his family to delve into higher education, culminating in him obtaining a PhD from the Tata Institute.
Fahad went on to highlight the stark urban-rural gap between them, mentioning his origins in a tiny region close to Bareilly, which is not even recognized as a district. He underscored their contrasting religious identities, with him belonging to the Pasmanda Muslim community within the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and Swara being a Brahmin.
The only shared aspect they found was their heterosexual orientation. Despite these differences, Fahad expressed that they have successfully navigated various barriers related to caste, religion, geography, and class. He acknowledged the challenges of their relationship but also highlighted the joy and fun that comes with overcoming those obstacles together.
In recollection of their initial encounter, Swara shared her appreciation for Fahad’s genuine candor, setting him apart from the usual guarded personalities prevalent in the entertainment industry. She admired his openness and commented, “He is incredibly straightforward and honest. He doesn’t hesitate to express his thoughts, regardless of who he may be speaking with. Many individuals in our line of work, including media and entertainment professionals, often worry about how they appear or what they say. When I first met him, that was the first thing that struck me.
In 2020, Swara and Fahad first crossed paths during a demonstration, and they exchanged vows under the Special Marriage Act on February 16, 2021. Their precious daughter, Raabiyaa, was born on September 23 last year. The family just celebrated her first birthday, marking the occasion with heartwarming posts on Instagram. Photos from the celebration were shared, featuring a delightful moment of Raabiyaa blowing out candles on her cake, as well as Swara’s father, C. Uday Bhasker, participating in the festivities.
Another version might be: The scene also showcased Swara and her family, as they played together – Swara on a toy car, while Raabiyaa and Fahad happily lifted their daughter. Clad in white, Swara, and Fahad in a black shirt, added to the moment with a heartfelt message expressing their profound love and appreciation for little Raabiyaa.
In terms of her career, Swara Bhasker’s latest appearance was in the movie “Jahaan Chaar Yaar,” which made its debut in the year 2022.
