As a lifelong Swiftie who has witnessed the evolution of Taylor Swift from a country crooner to a pop sensation and now a political powerhouse, I am nothing short of ecstatic about her endorsement for Kamala Harris! Her decision to publicly support Harris demonstrates not only her growth as an artist but also her commitment to using her platform for good.

The Swifties for Kamala coalition are “overjoyed” by Taylor Swift’s public endorsement of Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate.

On Wednesday, Taylor Swift expressed her support for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign via an Instagram post, following the presidential debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

As a result, I feel it’s crucial to be completely transparent about my genuine intentions as a voter during this election. The most effective way to counter misinformation is by standing firmly with the truth.

Swift then shared she would be casting her vote for Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 election.

The supporters of ‘Swifties for Kamala’ (S4K) are ecstatic about Taylor Swift backing Kamala Harris as president, along with Tim Walz as vice president. As we had anticipated, it was only a matter of time before Taylor endorsed, given her beliefs closely mirror Harris and our shared community. We can’t wait to witness the energy and support she will generate for this campaign!

The coalition has pointed out that since its establishment, it has accumulated more than 3,500 active volunteers, garnered over 280,000 followers on social media, collected funds exceeding $150,000 for the Harris campaign, and motivated approximately 90,000 people to verify their voter registration.

During the Harris-Trump presidential debate on the same night, Swift is set to announce her Harris-Walz endorsement. This could make it challenging to identify the impact of Swift’s influence, given that her political statement will be made during a crucial moment in the election process. In 2018, Swift’s initial public political endorsement, which supported two Democratic candidates in Tennessee, sparked a significant surge in voter registrations, as reported by Vote.org at the time.

Currently, at the time this story is being published, approximately 1.5 million of Taylor Swift’s 283 million followers have liked her endorsement post. As of Wednesday morning, all the Kamala Harris-Walz friendship bracelets inspired by Taylor Swift had sold out on KamalaHarris.com. During his interview on Fox & Friends on Wednesday, Trump discussed the significant backing he received from Swift.

Trump stated that he wasn’t a fan of Taylor Swift. He felt it was only a matter of time before she wouldn’t support Biden. After all, she’s quite liberal, and she usually backs Democrats. However, her decision might negatively impact her popularity in the marketplace.
