The upcoming film directed by Jon M. Chu, who is known for “Wicked,” starring Sydney Sweeney, has been confirmed to be distributed by Amazon MGM Studios. The screenplay for this movie will be written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who have previously worked on “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.

It has been verified that the movie adaptation of Split Fiction, featuring Sweeney, is set for Amazon MGM. This film, based on the game created by Hazelight Studios, follows characters who find themselves in a world built from their own stories after connecting to a device intended to pilfer creative concepts. Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson’s Story Kitchen will collaborate on the film production alongside Electric Somewhere, helmed by director Chu. Specializing in transforming non-conventional materials such as video games into films and television shows, Story Kitchen was founded in 2022 following its involvement in the initial Sonic movie release in 2020. More recently, it has brought a popular property to life with a new animated series that debuted in 2024.
