As a seasoned observer of the Bollywood scene, I must say that Taapsee Pannu‘s insights into the dynamics between outsiders and industry kids are truly enlightening. Having navigated both worlds myself, I can attest to the differences she highlights. The camaraderie and mutual support among nepo-kids is indeed a sight to behold, something that many of us outsiders could learn from in a positive way.
Taapsee Pannu, a remarkably gifted actress in Bollywood, has just wrapped up the premieres for her films “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba” and “Khel Khel Mein”. In a recent conversation, she shared insights about the dynamics between outsiders and industry kids within the acting world. She pointed out that some actors from outside the industry may feel threatened by one another. Interestingly, Taapsee also suggested that the concept of nepotism can teach us valuable lessons about unity.
Reflecting on my recent chat with ANI, I’d like to share an insightful lesson I’ve garnered from some folks within the industry. They’re often referred to as nepotism cases, yet they’ve taught me a valuable skill: standing united and supporting each other. This camaraderie, unfortunately, isn’t as strong among us outsiders as it is among them.
Taapsee went on to explain that those not originally from the industry have grown accustomed to competing amongst themselves. She emphasized that they held each other in high regard and acknowledged one another’s accomplishments. However, she observed that a sense of camaraderie, where they stood together regardless of the quality of their films, was more prevalent among the newcomers.
She remarked, “Deep within many of us, we may all eventually feel insecure towards each other.”
Taapsee discussed how the ‘nepo-kids’ (children of prominent figures in the industry) tend to support and endorse one another, which she views as something commendable. She suggested that this camaraderie is an admirable trait that outsiders could learn from positively.
Speaking about Taapsee Pannu’s latest movie, “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba,” it falls into the genre of romantic thrillers. This Netflix release hit screens on August 9th. Apart from Taapsee, the cast includes Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill. The film is helmed by director Jayprad Desai and scripted by Kanika Dhillon.
Meanwhile, the movie “Khel Khel Mein,” released on August 15, is a blend of comedy and drama. The film boasts an array of talented actors such as Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. Under the direction of Mudassar Aziz, it follows a group of friends as they engage in an intriguing game to uncover each other’s secrets.
