As an ardent admirer of Taapsee Pannu, I must say that her unique blend of talent, wit, and cultural connectivity never ceases to amaze me. Her latest Instagram exchange with her husband Mathias Boe, celebrating India’s Independence Day in Denmark, is just another testament to her Indianness at heart.
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, buoyed by the success of her recent films Khel Khel Mein and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, recently expressed her feelings on Instagram in response to husband Mathias Boe posting pictures marking Denmark’s Independence Day with the Danish flag. Taapsee jokingly suggested that Mathias should create a video singing India’s national anthem by next Independence Day, showing she’s just like any other Indian who cherishes their country deeply.
Taapsee Pannu posted a comment on Mathias’ Instagram photos, suggesting that by next Independence Day, he should create a reel singing the national anthem. Lately, Mathias celebrated Independence Day with the Indian embassy in Denmark, and was pictured holding the Indian flag. He looked very stylish in traditional clothing, wearing a kurta over white trousers.
He posted the photos and titled them, “I celebrated India’s Independence Day with the Indian delegation in Denmark. It was a delight to meet the new Ambassador, Mr. Manish Prabhat.”
Previously, Taapsee shared on Raunaq Rajani’s show Relationshit Advice that her friends became apprehensive when she talked about meeting Mathias Boe in Dubai. They expressed worries regarding the potential dangers of interacting with someone from a different culture and playfully warned her, suggesting that Mathias might try to ‘auction’ or ‘sell’ her to a Sheikh. Taapsee joked about their concerns, recalling, “My friends said, ‘Be careful.’ They warned me, ‘Don’t let him sell you.’ I wasn’t joking.”
It was revealed that her friends were worried enough to offer their contacts to help out, should anything happen to her best friend’s sibling who resides in Dubai. In a humorous note, Taapsee playfully suggested that it would be highly improbable for her friend’s sister to intervene if any issues arose.
The actress known for Khel Khel Mein is blissfully wedded to Danish badminton star Mathias. They have been a pair for more than ten years and tied the knot in March of 2024.
Simultaneously, in her professional life, Taapsee’s film Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, a sequel to Haseen Dillruba, premiered on Netflix on August 9, 2024. This movie was helmed by Jayprad Desai and features Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal in lead roles. Additionally, she collaborated once more with her Mission Mangal co-star Akshay Kumar in Khel Khel Mein, a production that also includes Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. This film was screened in theaters on Independence Day. In the near future, she is set to appear in Woh Ladki Hain Kahaan?.
