Fly with Hiccup and Toothless in the How to Train Your Drago Live-Action Trailer

On the Island of Berk, generations-long conflict has raged between Vikings and dragons. It’s been a brutal cycle of survival, with no room for mercy. The formidable chieftain of the Vikings, Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated movies), vows to bring an end to this age-old war for good.

Stoick is correct that the war will soon conclude, not through his actions but due to an extraordinary bond between his son Hiccup (Mason Thames) and a once-feared dragon named Toothless. Instead of fighting each other like others before them, Hiccup and Toothless unite their strengths, growing stronger in the process. This alliance proves beneficial as there’s a looming danger lurking around the corner, and it will take the united forces of Vikings and dragons to even stand a chance against it.

Accompanied by his friends Astrid (portrayed by Nico Parker) and local blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost), as well as numerous dragon species, Hiccup and Toothless engage in a battle not only for their friendship but also for their lives. In this struggle, they carve out a route towards harmony between Vikings and dragons.

In this movie, I found myself sharing the screen with some incredible talents like Julian Dennison from Deadpool 2, Gabriel Howell from Bodies, Bronwyn James from Wicked, Harry Trevaldwyn from Smothered, Ruth Codd from The Midnight Club, Peter Serafinowicz who was nominated for a BAFTA in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Murray McArthur known for his work on Game of Thrones.

The movie titled “How to Train Your Dragon” is crafted by DeBlois as its writer, producer, and director. It’s also a production of three-time Oscar nominee Marc Platt, known for films like “Wicked” and “La La Land”, and Emmy winner Adam Siegel, who has worked on films such as “Drive” and “2 Guns”. Secure your tickets for “How to Train Your Dragon” in theaters nationwide starting June 13, 2025.
