Taylor Swift Breaks Michael Jackson’s Wembley Stadium Record With Eras Tour

As a lifelong Swiftie with more than a decade of dedication to Taylor Swift’s discography, I can confidently say that her Eras Tour has been nothing short of phenomenal. The record-breaking performance at Wembley Stadium was an absolute dream come true for me and countless other fans who have been eagerly awaiting this moment since the tour was announced.

Taylor Swift has broken yet another record with her worldwide Eras Tour.

Concluding her extensive European tour, the renowned star broke the record for being the sole performer to play London’s iconic Wembley Stadium the maximum number of times during a single tour.

“She expressed to her audience during the unexpected Tuesday performance, as reported by BBC, that they had just helped make history by being the first solo artist to play Wembley eight times in a single tour. She emphasized that they could never fully express their gratitude for this incredible achievement.”

Previously, Michael Jackson owned the title for performing at this stadium most frequently, having done so a total of seven times as part of his Bad Tour in 1988. However, pop band Take That surpassed him by performing here a total of eight times during their Progress Tour in 2011.

During her current tour, Swift has performed at Wembley Stadium more times than any other venue. Throughout this tour, she typically spent three consecutive nights performing in various cities across the globe.

During the concert on Tuesday, she expressed her delight, saying, “I’ve always enjoyed performing for you in London, but this is the best yet! I’ve never experienced anything quite as wonderful before. This crowd is incredibly generous, and it feels like you all know every word to every song by heart – a dream come true.”

The exceptional show featured unexpected guest performances by Swift’s collaborators, as well as the premiere of fan favorites “Florida!!!” and “So Long London” from The Tortured Poets Department during the Eras Tour.

The Grammy-winning artist brought out her frequent producer Jack Antonoff to perform a medley of “Death By a Thousand Cuts” and “Getaway Car.” Florence Welch (of Florence + the Machine) also took the stage to perform “Florida!!!” with Swift during the show.

Instead of premiering the long-awaited Taylor’s Version of “Reputation” during the show, surprisingly, the singer-songwriter unveiled a music video for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” The nearly four-minute clip showcases backstage footage from Swift’s concerts.

The Eras Tour takes a break for the next two months and picks back up on Oct. 18 in Miami.
