Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour Book’ Sells Nearly 1M Copies in First Week

As a die-hard Taylor Swift fan who has followed her meteoric rise to stardom since her humble beginnings in Tennessee, I can confidently say that this latest achievement is simply another feather in her already overflowing cap. The success of “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book” not only cements her status as a cultural icon but also serves as a testament to the unwavering passion and dedication of her devoted fanbase, who have supported her every step of the way.

Taylor Swift‘s new book has achieved a massive debut.

On Friday, Target Corporation revealed that Taylor Swift’s official “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Book,” exclusively available at Target, has sold close to a million copies within its first week. This impressive sales figure marks the highest-grossing first week for any new print book release in 2024 so far and the fastest-selling new book in the last four years. Notably, “The Eras Tour” book holds the record for the best-selling book in the music category over the past two decades since Circana began tracking sales.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Book, a comprehensive account of her record-setting tour, was made available in Target stores across the country on Black Friday. This book features more than 500 unique images capturing unseen performance moments, exclusive rehearsal shots, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into instruments, costumes, stage props, and the designer’s sketches for the tour. Swift herself has contributed personal musings and notes about the tour to this book.

Apart from the book, Target made the “Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” available for the initial time on compact discs (CDs) and vinyl records for the first time as well.

It was already anticipated that the launch of the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book and The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology would be a massive event for Target shoppers and Taylor Swift enthusiasts, but the incredible response we’ve seen over the past week has been truly exhilarating,” stated Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Target. “I’m immensely proud of our partnership with Taylor and the joint efforts of our teams that made this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Week an unforgettable experience for many.

This book commemorates another triumph of Taylor Swift’s two-year tour, during which she recently produced a record-breaking concert film titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour“. Last year, this movie raked in an impressive $250 million at the box office, making it the highest-grossing concert film ever. Interestingly, Swift and her team funded this $15 million production themselves.

The film was nominated in the Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category for the first time at the Golden Globes, with Greta Gerwig’s Barbie eventually winning as the inaugural recipient.)

The final shows of Swift’s Eras Tour will take place in Vancouver on Dec. 6-8.
