Taylor Swift’s Cats Steal the Show at the Super Bowl

Despite Travis Kelce’s upcoming participation in the most highly anticipated football game on the 2025 TV calendar, his relationship with Taylor Swift remains a buzzing topic, as evident by the flurry of media interviews he has been giving prior to the Super Bowl. In fact, just recently, during one of these interviews, Kelce was asked about none other than Swift’s beloved cats.

At a press conference leading up to the Super Bowl, Kelce is not only answering questions about the Chiefs vs. Eagles matchup but also being asked about his girlfriend’s baking talents and her furry companions.

Travis, fans want to know, who’s your biggest supporter, Olivia, Meredith or Benjamin?

Now, these aren’t exactly life-or-death questions (wink wink), but as a Swiftie, I must admit that this response holds more interest for me than his thoughts on the big game. Fortunately, Kelce addressed the question in a polite manner, stating:

Probably Benjamin.

He was then asked “why,” and responded with:

I don’t know. He’s kind of the one I see the most, I guess.

I love this for Travis, Benjamin and the fans do too.

To give you some context, Benjamin is Swift’s youngest feline friend, whom she took in after their encounter during the filming of the “ME!” music video. In a behind-the-scenes video about the production, the artist shared that she was smitten with the kitten right away and couldn’t resist bringing him home. Similar to Meredith and Olivia, Swift’s fans (Swifties) were smitten with him instantly as well.

I also appreciate Kelce’s response, and I wasn’t alone. Many others expressed praise for the original questioner in the comments section, commending them for their excellent question.

Given that Swift describes Benjamin (her cat) as the one who loves people the most in the “ME!” BTS video, it makes sense why he’s such a strong advocate for Travis.

All things considered, even though it seems Kelce might prefer discussing the upcoming game, I’m grateful for his gracious and friendly responses to the Swifties’ questions. Such insights into their personal life are rare, making details like who his most enthusiastic cat fan is particularly precious.

In a way that might seem a bit self-indulgent, I’d be thrilled if we could capture a family photo with Swift, Kelce, and the cats. It would be fascinating to observe how he gets along with Benjamin, as well as Meredith and Olivia. I’m also keen to see the pop star’s reaction to the whole situation, considering she’s renowned for her love of cats. Given that she’s a dedicated cat mom, it’s likely that their feelings towards her partner matter to her, and I believe this aspect is equally significant for Swifties.
