As a seasoned gamer of classic films and a regular attendee at the TCM Classic Film Festival, I can hardly contain my excitement for the 16th edition! The theme, “Grand Illusions: Fantastic Worlds on Film,” promises an enchanting journey through cinema’s most imaginative realms.
The 16th installment of the TCM Classic Film Festival is set to take place in Hollywood from April 24-27, featuring a theme worthy of admiration by both Jean Renoir and Styx: “Magnificent Delusions: Awe-inspiring Realms on Screen.
As the much-anticipated event approaches, TCM plans to broaden the scope of their film festival by teaming up with The 92nd Street Y in Manhattan for a temporary TCM Classic Film Festival: New York Pop-Up at 92NY.

At the upcoming festival, the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) podcast “The Plot Thickens” is planning a unique event before the start of its sixth season. This special occasion will coincide with the prominent screenings, debates among experts, and guest appearances by actors and directors.
Once more, the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where the first Academy Awards took place in 1929, is set to be the central meeting point for the festival. Sales of passes begin in December.
