Currently, Brett Goldstein has mentioned plans for returning to write, while Hannah Waddingham begins filming in July. As for Jason Sudeikis, he’ll reprise his role as the main character to coach the women’s team. Beyond these characters, it remains unclear who else will return and who won’t.
Regarding Mohammed, he mentioned that he’s undergone a “check-up on dates.” Beyond this, the details about his future remain unclear. However, Mohammed seems to be accepting of this situation and fully comprehends the reasons behind it, as he put it himself.
It’s reasonable to assume that I’ve had my dates verified, but I haven’t received any scripts yet. While I agree we might not be directly involved in the show, given its focus on AFC Richmond’s men’s team and a women’s football team, it’s likely that Nate has moved on to another club, perhaps even Real Madrid or similar high-profile teams, considering the narrative’s realistic context.
It’s quite plausible that such a scenario unfolds. Following the conclusion of Season 3 of Ted Lasso , Nate underwent a significant transformation and was on his way up the coaching ranks at Richmond. Given his impressive display of football acumen, it wouldn’t be surprising if he received an offer to lead another team.
Perhaps that’s the direction the story might take, and it’s possible we could see Nate appearing in a couple of episodes during Season 4, helping Ted manage the fresh team.
