Teddi Mellencamp recently posted an optimistic health message following her discovery of several tumors, followed by an urgent brain operation she underwent earlier in the year.
Previously featured “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star posted on Instagram yesterday, excitedly saying “a piece of news I’ve been eager to disclose!
She shared that all stage 4 tumors (melanoma that had spread to her brain and lungs) have reduced or vanished. This means she has about 6 more weeks of immunotherapy treatment left, and the doctors are optimistic that she will recover if everything continues as planned. She expressed gratitude to everyone who has sent their well wishes, prayers, and positive vibes.”
Or
“She posted that her stage 4 tumors (melanoma in both brain and lungs) have either shrunk or vanished. With about 6 more weeks of immunotherapy remaining, the doctors are hopeful she will make a full recovery if things go as expected. She thanked everyone who has sent their love, blessings, and positive energy.
In the video below, Mellencamp shared that she’s recently completed her scans, revealing that her tumors have noticeably reduced in size. Doctors are hopeful that this indicates the treatment is effective, and she’ll soon regain her strength and good health.
Previously, during their iHeartRadio podcast, “Two Ts in a Pod,” she openly discussed her health story, which culminated when physicians informed her that she had more than seven tumors after a CT scan at the hospital.
As a devoted fan, I’d share that Mellencamp bravely faced a craniotomy where medical professionals skillfully extracted four brain tumors. Subsequently, she embarked on a course of immunotherapy due to the presence of additional tumors in her lungs and brain, which were deemed too hazardous for surgical removal at the time.
Often, people misunderstand when they hear terms like brain tumors or lung tumors, assuming they’re not related to melanoma. However, it’s possible for melanoma to spread (metastasize) to other organs, which is what occurred in my case. As a result, all the growths and lumps I had were actually melanoma.
Back in 2022, I was hit with the news that I had Stage 2 melanoma. Later on, after a critical brain surgery, I shared the heartbreaking update that the battle wasn’t over yet – cancer was still part of my journey.
On Wednesday, I shared an update in a video, mentioning that I have two more rounds of immunotherapy ahead. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and staying optimistic, as my doctor recently encouraged this mindset. Here’s to hoping I’ll be cancer-free soon!
