‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2’ Delayed a Year to 2027

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will have to wait a bit longer for party time to begin.

On Friday, Paramount Pictures adjusted their planned release dates, moving the upcoming animated film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2” from October 9, 2026, to a wide theatrical debut on September 17, 2027.

Jeff Rowe is taking charge of the sequel to his initial movie which premiered in August 2023 and grossed $180 million globally. The ensemble voice cast for the inaugural ‘Mutant Mayhem’ featured Ayo Edebiri, Maya Rudolph, John Cena, Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Jackie Chan, Ice Cube and Paul Rudd. This franchise traces its roots back to the 1984 release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book.

In a surprising shift, “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender” has been rescheduled for a wide theatrical release on October 9, 2026. Originally planned for January 30, 2026, this new date marks an exciting change. Dave Bautista, Eric Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, Román Zaragoza, and Steven Yeun lend their voices to the characters in director Lauren Montgomery’s feature film, which continues the narrative of the Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.

The scheduling for “Mutant Mayhem 2” and “The Legend of Aang” has been pushed back due to holdups in the actual animation production process.

Paramount has decided to bring forward the release date for “Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie” by a week. This animation franchise’s latest installment will now be showing in cinemas on July 24, 2026. Directed by Cal Brunker, the film boasts an impressive voice cast featuring Mckenna Grace, Ron Pardo, Jennifer Hudson, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Terry Crews, Snoop Dogg, Bill Nye, and Paris Hilton.

The movie titled “The Dino” is the newest addition to the series that began with the TV show “Paw Patrol,” continuing the storyline from the 2023 film “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Adventure.
