As a long-time Tesla enthusiast who has witnessed the ups and downs of their innovative journey, it’s become a bit of a rollercoaster ride. The latest recall of the Cybertruck is just another chapter in this intriguing saga. I can’t help but feel a tinge of déjà vu, as it seems we’re back to square one with this vehicle.
Since its debut a year ago, Tesla’s Cybertruck has faced numerous challenges. In the year 2024, it has already undergone its fifth recall.
Approximately 27,000 Cybertrucks are subject to a recent recall due to an issue with the rearview camera. The delay in the camera’s footage can range from six to eight seconds, causing the video feed on the dashboard not to display live images as intended.
As a dedicated fan, I’ve learned from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a delay of up to two seconds in response while reversing the Cybertruck can potentially lead to accidents. Fortunately, Tesla has addressed this matter promptly by releasing a software update aimed at rectifying this issue.
In June, the Cybertruck was called back due to concerns that the windshield might come loose during operation. Additionally, it was recalled in April because of an issue with a pedal that failed to release the accelerator.
