As a seasoned gamer and tech enthusiast with a penchant for the future, I must say that Tesla’s latest unveiling left me exhilarated! The concept of autonomous vehicles has always been intriguing to me, not just from a technological standpoint, but also from the perspective of how it could revolutionize our daily lives.
At its recent “We, Robot” gathering, Tesla showcased its fresh vehicle ideas, focusing primarily on designs for public transportation. Of particular interest is their electric vehicle (EV) lineup, which includes a self-driving “Cybercab Robotaxi” and “Robovan.
Elon Musk presents these vehicles arguing that a fully autonomous system could revolutionize transportation, enhancing both safety and affordability. He asserts that the taxis could be ten times safer than human drivers, drastically reducing transport expenses. In terms of appearance, this futuristic car showcases a contemporary style with stylish light bars, deep-set rims, and butterfly doors adding to its unique design.
Currently, both of these vehicles are only ideas or concepts at this point in time, with no specific performance data disclosed as of yet. Nevertheless, Tesla has hinted that production could commence prior to 2027, with an estimated cost under $30,000 USD. Beyond these two upcoming concepts, Tesla plans to introduce Full Self-Driving (FSD) functionality for the Model 3 and Model Y in California and Texas starting from next year.
