Oh my gosh, as a die-hard fan of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, I am absolutely thrilled to pieces! The latest update about Thama, starring none other than the brilliant Ayushmann Khurrana and the lovely Rashmika Mandanna, has sent me into a frenzy! The fact that Ayushmann is set to kick off the new year 2025 with the film’s Delhi shoot just makes my heart skip a beat!
I remember the day when I first saw Ayushmann in Vicky Donor and thought, “This guy’s got it all!” His acting skills, his charm, his ability to pick roles that are not only entertaining but also thought-provoking. And now, he’s going to be a part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe? I am beyond excited!
I can almost feel the anticipation building up as we approach the Diwali 2025 release date for Thama. The fact that it will also star Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui makes it all the more enticing. Director Aditya Sarpotdar, who gave us Munjya, is at the helm of this film. I have faith in his vision and can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
I can’t help but wonder if Ayushmann will bring some of his signature quirky humor to the table, much like he did in Andhadhun or Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan. I am counting down the days until I get to see him and Rashmika share the screen together.
In the meantime, Ayushmann’s Instagram selfie from his Delhi location has me grinning ear-to-ear. The man knows how to keep us on our toes! As he gears up for Thama, I am keeping my fingers crossed that 2025 will be a fantastic year for him and all the other films in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
By the way, did you hear the latest joke going around? Why don’t Ayushmann’s characters ever get locked out of their own house? Because they always have the key to their own heart! Haha, I crack myself up sometimes. 😄
The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe has revealed its plan for upcoming projects, sending fan anticipation soaring. The next movie in this universe is titled Thama, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Recently, details about their love story have emerged, with news that Ayushmann will begin filming the Delhi scenes for Thama to start off 2025.
4th January 2025: Ayushmann Khurrana posted a selfie on Instagram Stories, bathed in sunshine. He wore a white t-shirt and beige puffer jacket, paired with sunglasses and a face mask. In the caption, he wrote “Let’s go to Delhi (with heart hands emoji)” in Hindi.
Have a look at the story!
The actor is about to embark on the second phase of filming for his upcoming movie, Thama. Following a brief stint in Mumbai towards the end of last year, principal photography on thrilling sequences will commence in Delhi as early as next week and run through mid-January.
In October of 2024, the official announcement for Thama was made. The announcement video showcased the title and cast, accompanied by an intense song playing in the background. A caption read, “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe required a romantic tale… unfortunately, it turns out to be a bloody one. Get ready for #Thama – Diwali 2025!
In addition to Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are included in the cast. The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who previously worked on Munjya, and it’s written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara. Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are producing this upcoming release which will hit theaters for Diwali 2025.
Here are some of the upcoming movies in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe: Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Stree 3, Maha Munjya, Pehla Mahayudh, and Doosara Mahayudh. In simpler terms, these titles represent upcoming horror-comedy films from this specific universe.
As a die-hard fan of Ayushmann Khurrana, I can hardly contain my excitement! Not only is he working on another project with Thama (a term of endearment for his character in ‘Thappad’), but he’s also stepping into the world of spies in an upcoming comedy produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, this untitled film boasts Sara Ali Khan as the female lead.
But that’s not all! I recently stumbled upon some exclusive news from TopMob – Ayushmann has been cast as the new Prem in Sooraj Barjatya’s yet-to-be-titled family drama. With a rich history of delivering captivating performances, I can only imagine what he’ll bring to these roles and how they’ll resonate with audiences worldwide. As I eagerly await each update on his projects, my fangirling knows no bounds!
