As a dedicated sneakerhead with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia upon hearing about the upcoming release of the Air Jordan 4 RM “Black Cat.” This iconic colorway first graced my collection back in 2006, and I still remember the thrill of adding it to my ever-growing sneaker arsenal.
As a dedicated sneakerhead with years of experience under my belt, I’ve come across countless iconic releases in the world of basketball footwear. However, there are some pairs that truly stand out from the crowd, and the Air Jordan 4 RM “Black Cat” is definitely one of them.
I’ve been excitedly anticipating the arrival of the Air Jordan 4 RM for an entire year. Last weekend, my wait finally paid off as this highly-coveted sneaker made its grand entrance, marking the beginning of Nigel Sylvester’s “Bike Air” project. As I bask in the joy of owning a pair, I can’t help but feel a twinge of impatience – part two, the “Anthracite,” is yet to be released. However, with the unveiling of this new look, my excitement has been rekindled, even if it does remind me of a familiar design.
A new version of the Air Jordan 4 RM, dubbed “Black Cat,” will join the lineup this year. This colorway debuted on the original high-top model in 2006 and has since appeared on various other Air Jordans, including reportedly the Air Jordan 5. It features an all-black exterior with white accents at the tongue’s Jumpman logo and heel’s Nike Air branding. The shoes are built using a combination of nubuck, mesh, and the signature TPU cage.
Currently, Jordan Brand hasn’t announced the release date for the “Black Cat” version of the Air Jordan 4 RM. Keep an eye out for further information, including a detailed look from Nike, as we anticipate it becoming available towards the end of this year through both Nike and selected retailers, with a starting price of $150 USD.
