The Bachelor cast has been revealed for season 29.
Thirty-year-old Grant Ellis, who was a contestant on ‘The Bachelorette’ with Jenn Tran last season, will be the one giving out roses when ABC’s long-running reality dating show, ‘The Bachelor’, comes back on January 27th.
As a fan, I’d say these women seeking love come from diverse backgrounds, ages 21 to 31, and they originate from places like Puerto Rico, Canada, Texas, and New York, with other locations thrown into the mix. Their careers are as varied as their hometowns, spanning professions such as pediatrician, venture capitalist, boxing trainer, and social media manager.
Ellis, who was dismissed during Tran’s season in its sixth week, is the second Black contestant chosen as “The Bachelor” in the series, following Matt James from season 25 that aired in 2021. After being selected and prior to commencing filming for the upcoming season, Ellis stated he had no reservations about accepting the role: “When I was contacted, I simply expressed my gratitude and replied, ‘Of course, of course I’ll accept the role.’ If you all are going to assist me in finding my future spouse, I am thrilled about that.
Originally a professional basketball player and stock market investor hailing from New Jersey, he’s now excited to start a voyage that encompasses love, excitement, and meaningful relationships.
