The Oura Ring 4 will offer automatic detection of heart rates and movements during workouts, eliminating the need to manually activate tracking through an app. It also provides charts for daily stress analysis, helping users comprehend how their daily activities impact stress levels. Moreover, it offers fertility insights, allowing those trying to conceive a better understanding of their chances of pregnancy at different stages of their menstrual cycle. This is on top of the existing features such as Sleep Scores, Readiness levels, stress analysis during the day, fitness and daily activities, heart health, and women’s health data, all securely monitored through 20 biometrics.
New and current Oura members will also see a redesigned iOs and Android app with “a more streamlined, at-a-glance view into their short- and long-term health.” The new Today, Vitals and My Health tabs will offer daily health details with real-time updates, detailed views of health metrics and scores, and a more comprehensive look at Cardiovascular Age, Stress Resilience and other long-term insights. The Oura subscription is $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year via the company’s website, and the first month is free for new members.
The new Oura Ring 4 will be available in five colors: silver, black, brushed silver, a sleek tungsten carbide PVD-coated version called “stealth,” gold, and rose gold. It fits sizes 4 to 15. Plus, this device is compatible with HSA/FSA programs, allowing you to utilize your healthcare funds towards purchasing the ring and Oura membership before December 31st. (Find more details here.)
Jennifer Aniston, Miranda Kerr, Sofia Richie Grainge, Prince Harry, Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky, and NBA All-Star Chris Paul are some of the celebrities who have been seen using this device. Even health-conscious star Kate Hudson wishes she had come up with it herself.
In her conversation with THR, Miranda Kerr, who is both a model and founder of Kora Organics, shared that she adores her Oura ring because it monitors sleep patterns. She finds it beneficial to ensure she reaches her daily step goal, as it encourages earlier bedtimes; thus serving as an effective motivator.
At her 2021 Goop Health gathering, Gwyneth Paltrow enthusiastically endorsed the Oura Ring. She was accompanied by Matthew Walker, a UC Berkeley neuroscience and psychology professor who also serves as an advisor to the Oura company, and has his own MasterClass focused on sleep science. Notably, professional athletes such as Olympic medalists Lindsey Vonn, Kai Lenny, and Kanoa Igarashi, as well as others in their field, are among those who utilize Oura’s technology.
Pre-orders are now being taken for the Oura Ring 4, which will be shipped from October 15 onwards at Oura, Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and various other retailers. For those who can’t wait, the Oura Ring Gen3 is currently discounted, starting at $299 (originally priced at $349 and above).
