Summary
- The Alphabet Mafia guild is hosting a Pride march this year in The Elder Scrolls Online, walking from northern Auridon all the way down to Vulkhel Guard.
- This is only for PC-NA, but the event’s Discord is collating all other events in a separate channel.
- There’s also a fashion and housing contest, of which the winner will be rewarded with prizes.
Each year, members of The Elder Scrolls Online community unite to honor Pride Month with an extravagant in-game procession, emphasizing that LGBTQIA players are a valued and integral part of the gaming world. For 2025, the Alphabet Mafia guild has declared they will lead a march across Auridon, where participants will stroll along the main road from Firsthold to Vulkhel Guard, traversing much of the island.
Apollonia666 posted in the Discord server that we’ll kick things off at 8pm Eastern on Saturday, June 14, at the Firsthold Wayshrine in northern Auridon. The procession begins at 8:15pm Eastern and we’ll make our way south across Auridon, culminating with a beach party. Everyone is invited to join in the fun, whether you bring themes like bears riding on bear mounts or people dressed in bi pride colors, or stud lesbian orcs donning chain mail. Sounds great!
On our PC-NA server, we’re focusing on gathering information about various Pride celebrations. In our Discord community, you can stay updated by keeping a lookout for these events.
There are a few rules (or “tips”) worth keeping in mind if you decide to participate:
- Walk, don’t run;
- “If bigoted buttheads show up to try to troll the march or say nasty stuff”, just block them and grab a screenshot;
- Turn off nameplates and hide the UI for cleaner screenshots;
- Dismiss non-combat pets or mounts unless they’re an “essential” part of your look;
- And make sure to dismiss all combat pets, too — “No big flappies, please!”
“I Have Never Seen Such Negativity For An Event Like This”
Unfortunately, the post about the event on the gaming forum has been shut down, leaving a cemetery of erased comments. From the responses, you can gather what people might have written, with users such as u/HintDeadFish expressing that suggesting no politics in an Elder Scrolls game is illogical and contradictory.
The comments on this event are really gross.
The Alphabet Mafia is likewise needing to implement safety measures within their Discord channel. Unlike before, there aren’t any public platforms for interaction between fans and attendees, which has somewhat dampened the event’s enthusiasm compared to past years. However, this decision was made with a valid reason: A previous Tamriel Pride server was closed down due to excessive posts containing hateful speech.
However, this hasn’t stopped the guild from organizing the march, hoping that it gains momentum before June, potentially matching or even surpassing the impressive displays of acceptance seen in past years.
