The Fan Reactions Are A+ After Sesame Street's Elmo And YouTuber Ms. Rachel Posts Collab: 'This is Like DeNiro And Pacino Doing Heat'

As a parent with a plethora of young relatives, I can confidently say that the most thrilling television event of 2024 for toddlers (and some of us older folks) is the collaboration between Sesame Street’s Elmo and YouTube sensation Ms. Rachel. I’ve seen firsthand the magnetic pull this woman has on the little ones, and it’s no wonder parents went bananas when they heard about this playdate.

2024’s most significant television spectacle is unfolding as we speak, particularly for toddlers, and rest assured, this isn’t about Bluey. With YouTube increasingly captivating young audiences from conventional TV content, a classic children’s TV icon like Sesame Street is teaming up with one of YouTube’s biggest stars. YouTuber Ms. Rachel has shared a playdate video featuring Elmo, and the online response likens it to the dynamic duo of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in Heat.

As a parent and an uncle to numerous young children, I’ve noticed how strongly Ms. Rachel captivates toddlers. This isn’t just my observation, as it seems many online parents were equally excited when they learned that Elmo would be featuring in a playdate video with her.

It’s likely that the person managing Elmo’s social media felt anxious when they noticed Elmo trending once more, as it reminded them of the previous incident where he asked about people’s feelings. However, luckily, there’s no drama this time, and thankfully, there’s no one like Larry David to scold him.

Parents are pumped to hear about this collab happening, to the point @CinematicReel’s response suggests it might even have more hype than the recently announced Heat 2:

As a parent of a one year old, this collab is Pacino/De Niro Heat & Avengers Assemble LEVELS HUGE.

To older generations who grew up watching shows no longer in vogue, Ms. Rachel might be an unrecognized figure. However, she’s a beloved icon among younger kids and their parents. Her YouTube videos garner anywhere from tens to hundreds of millions of views, reflecting similar educational content as classic shows like Sesame Street. Consequently, parents are just as enthusiastic about her as demonstrated by @JBontkeABC15’s response.

Haven’t been this excited about a duo since Linkin Park did that collision course with Jay-Z.

It’s unclear if we’re witnessing a legendary duo in children’s TV history, but I’m definitely on board with Elmo sporting the iconic pink headband. Let’s pause for a moment to appreciate this, as it seems that Elmo is adopting Miss Rachel’s distinctive style. Despite being more widely recognized, Elmo is now channeling Ms. Rachel’s signature look, as pointed out by @FloraAcetyra.

That’s so sweet! Elmo is loving his new headband! Can’t wait for the next playdate!

As a gamer, it’s mind-blowing to see how Gen Alpha is redefining the game for networks, with YouTube and tablets rapidly capturing the attention of their audience. A year after Adult Swim expanded its grip on Cartoon Network’s daily schedule, Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to close down their website. It seems like children’s television is undergoing a massive overhaul, and shows like Sesame Street need to adapt with the times. I completely agree with @iya64831116’s perspective on this, as I feel the same way too.

Keeping the opps close I like that Elmo.

From my perspective as a parent, I find myself leaning more towards trusting my child with Ms. Rachel on the YouTube Kids app rather than exposing them to Elmo through their Max subscription. Having raised my own kids, I know that one careless click could potentially expose them to content not suitable for their age, possibly leaving a lasting impact – something I wouldn’t want for my children or any child. While it’s true that YouTube has its fair share of questionable videos, in this case, I believe the potential risks associated with Elmo outweigh the possible issues on YouTube.

If you’ve come this far without having watched a video by the renowned Ms. Rachel, but are now intrigued, consider yourself fortunate! The hour-long video I’m about to point out will serve as a comprehensive introduction for those uninitiated, offering insights into one of the most cherished children’s hosts on YouTube: the delightful Ms. Rachel herself.

Based on my interactions and conversations with other parents, Ms. Rachel is much like discovering a movie you enjoy after initially watching it with your kids. She’s friendly, avoids excessive loud noises, and even collaborates with Elmo on videos! With all these charming qualities, she’s hard not to adore, especially when she offers an hour of tranquility for parents during their most stressful moments.

1. Instead of Ms. Rachel, watch her on YouTube, not forgetting to tune into Sesame Street on PBS Kids. You can find their broadcast dates in your local listings or via their app. By the way, I’m about to unwind with a video and take a quick nap for sentimental reasons.
