The King of Fighters AFK is finally open for pre-registrations on Android and iOS

  • Pre-registrations are currently open on the App Store and Google Play
  • Several rewards up for grabs including 3,000 summon chances
  • Expected release date is early next year

As a long-time fan of The King of Fighters series, I’m thrilled to see Netmarble bringing a fresh take on this classic game with The King of Fighters AFK. Pre-registering for this idle RPG not only gets me early access but also a whopping 3,000 summon chances! That’s enough to kickstart my team with some iconic fighters like Iori and Leona.

Following a short unveiling during the Tokyo Game Show last month, Netmarble has now begun accepting pre-registrations for their upcoming project, The King of Fighters AFK, on both Android and iOS devices. Previous KOF games have graced us, but this one stands out due to its innovative approach – an idle gameplay style that is a new addition to the series.

Registering in advance for The King of Fighters AFK not only gives you early entry but also unlocks a variety of perks. By pre-registering, you could potentially receive up to 3,000 summon chances, allowing you to attempt to recruit iconic characters and unique rewards such as Vice, who is imbued with Orochi’s power. With the chance to start off with characters like Iori and Leona, you’ll find yourself well ahead of others still trying to assemble their team.

As a gamer, I’m super excited about the upcoming KOF game because it’s an AFK RPG! That means my characters will level up and make progress even when I’m not playing. It’s great because it eliminates all that tedious grinding you usually find in RPGs, letting me dive right into the fun stuff. Plus, there are always special events going on, which guarantees a steady supply of top-tier items. This game is revolutionizing the genre!

In KOF AFK, you’ll get a dose of nostalgia as the characters are crafted in a pixel-art style reminiscent of The King of Fighters R-2 on Neo Geo Pocket Colour. The main focus is still on intense 5 versus 5 battles. To succeed, you will construct strategies by building decks for each fight, choosing various fighters and formations to outsmart your opponents.

Should you find it appealing, feel free to sign up early for The King of Fighters AFK through any of the links provided below. Although we haven’t set a definitive release date yet, the App Store suggests it could be January 27th, 2025. Keep yourself informed by checking out the official website for any updates.
