For instance, new Call of Duty editions emerge annually, and the anticipated GTA 6 is predicted to set new records as the largest game ever created. Furthermore, whispers abound that Naughty Dog is gearing up to produce a remarkable trilogy with The Last of Us Part 3. Although no official announcements have been made, these rumors persistently echo through the gaming community.

In 2013, The Last of Us revolutionized the zombie genre with its unique take. With the release of its sequel in 2020 and the possibility of more stories, it seemed unlikely that Ellie would spend eternity playing her guitar. Now, fans are imagining their own continuations for what might come next.

As a gamer, I can’t help but think about what could be next in The Last of Us Part 3 storyline. With Joel out of the picture, Abby and Ellie have made some progress in putting their differences behind them, but old grudges never truly disappear. Many possibilities exist for where the narrative could go, and I’ve seen fans propose a story centered around the character of Lev.

Some fans are divided over the role of Abby in Part II, first as the antagonist and later becoming the protagonist in the second half. A popular opinion among these fans is that Abby should not appear in Part 3, with one commenter stating, “In The Last of Us, Ellie’s story takes center stage, and Abby was only present in Part II to advance Ellie’s (and Joel’s) narrative. It would be best if they did not cross paths again.”

Someone expressed their fondness for Abby and concurred with the sentiment that her presence in the game is unnecessary.
