“Here’s a heads-up for fellow movie enthusiasts, if you haven’t yet caught up with the Season 2 premiere of ‘The Last of Us’, beware! The plot unfolds on HBO or with a Max subscription, and I wouldn’t want to spoil the suspense for you.”
Following what seems like an era post-apocalyptic in duration since Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey’s Ellie left us emotionally drained with their powerful performances, the long-awaited Season 2 of The Last of Us has arrived. This season continues the storyline after Joel’s life-altering choice to save Ellie from a fatal operation in the first season’s finale. There are significant time jumps and alterations to the timeline compared to the video game series, as well as an array of new characters to grow attached to before their (often heartbreaking) departures.

To mark the exciting comeback of the horror drama, let’s dive straight into live commentary as I believe some thoughts are best expressed in real-time rather than after the closing credits. So grab your stacks of pancakes (a fun twist on birthday tradition) and join me for what promises to be an interesting viewing party for “Future Days.” While I can’t guarantee my humor will improve upon the “fun(gi)” pun, I do hope it brings a smile. As for the episode itself, expect a mix of melancholy and suspense, as is often the case with this series. Here’s to an enjoyable experience!
Keep in mind that new entries will show up in chronological order from the most recent to the oldest while the episode is still being aired live. Once the broadcast has ended, the order will switch and display from oldest to most recent.

As for me, I don’t reside in such a large home. However, it doesn’t matter, as the show has begun, and I appreciate everyone who decided to embark on this journey with me!
Starting the season with “The Lie” is an intense approach, indeed. It’s quite shocking, especially since there’s no comforting music to ease us in.
But then…hell yeah, look at all those giraffes!
Initially, Kaitlyn Dever’s character Abby appears ominous as she stands with the recently formed group near a vast number of graves, following the tragedy at Joel’s hospital.
As a movie critic, I must say that Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have boldly restructured the original material in an intriguing way. The narrative plunges us headfirst into the characters of Isaac, Owen, Nora, and Mel from the get-go. What’s more, Abby’s chilling presence is palpable as she delivers a menacing warning that leaves one shuddering with anticipation.
Slowly. . . . When we kill him, we kill him slowly.
Fuck yeah, The Last of Us, fans. We’re in for some chaos.
