As a seasoned golfer with years of battling the elements under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about the latest addition to Nike’s golf footwear family – the Infinity Tour 2 GORE-TEX. Having braved countless downpours and frosty mornings on the green, I know all too well the importance of waterproof protection and warmth when it comes to golfing in less than ideal weather conditions.
Approaching the end of the year, golfers are unearthing their layered clothing from storage and Nike is considering how its products suit an off-season wardrobe. Their newest product, the Infinity Tour 2 GORE-TEX, ensures you’re prepared for any weather conditions that come your way. This follows the Air Zoom Infinity Tour NXT% Shield silhouette released two years ago, which the all-weather boot now builds upon, offering waterproof protection in a slimmer design.
In simpler terms, this GORE-TEX version is essentially an upgraded model similar to Nike’s Infinity Tour 2, endorsed by major champion Brooks Koepka. It shares the same design base, but adds integrated spikes for grip and an Air Zoom unit for energy return. The unique aspects are its knit sockliner, seamless upper, and GORE-TEX membrane that together create a waterproof barrier. The color options include a black version with reflective details (most likely to be the top choice), and a light blue one with pink accents, which should complement various styles beyond autumn and winter.
On Instagram, Function18 retailer announced the upcoming launch of The Infinity Tour 2 Boot within the following week, but they haven’t disclosed its release date or cost details as of now.
