As a seasoned trail runner with years of tackling challenging terrains under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about norda’s latest creation – the norda 005. The brand has always been at the forefront of pushing boundaries in the realm of running shoes, and this new model promises to be their lightest, fastest, and most stable shoe ever crafted for trail running.
Latest News: The month of norda has been packed with numerous releases showcasing the 001 and 002 models for Fall/Winter 2024. To add to the excitement, the brand’s latest silhouette is set to drop next week, which was earlier hinted at and detailed below. This upcoming model is none other than the norda 005, touted as “the lightest, fastest, and most stable shoe ever designed for trail running.” For enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the race day runner, it will make its debut on August 27 at 7am EDT through Sanglard Sports in Chamonix, France. Keep an eye out for further updates, including details of global releases and a closer inspection of the new design.

Over the weekend, Norda Running Company from Montreal subtly shared a preview of an upcoming trail shoe, which might turn out to be their fourth or fifth model in the series.
The brand posted on Instagram to celebrate Jason Schlarb, a top-tier runner among 665 others, for placing third in the grueling Hardrock 100 ultra-marathon, which includes an impressive 66,000 feet of elevation change over 100 miles. Interestingly, while competing, Schlarb could be spotted wearing the brand’s yet-to-be-revealed shoe, but Norda did not explicitly acknowledge it in their post.

As someone who has spent years braving harsh weather conditions while exploring the great outdoors, I can confidently say that this shoe stands out as a reliable companion for any adventure. Its neutral color palette and design reminiscent of the Norda 001 make it both aesthetically pleasing and functional. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed some key differences that set it apart.
