‘The Paris Widow’ TV Series Adaptation in the Works

As a seasoned television enthusiast, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming adaptation of Kimberly Belle’s gripping novel “The Paris Widow”. Having spent years immersed in the world of drama development at Universal Television and Amazon Studios, it is truly heartening to see Brittany A. Little and Larissa Bell, two dynamic talents I have long admired, stepping into the spotlight with their production company, Little Bell Productions.

A TV series based on Kimberly Belle’s thriller novel The Paris Widow is in the works.

On Wednesday, the initial phase of an agreement, previously sealed between producers Brittany A. Little and Larissa Bell, along with Little Bell Productions, and Universal Television, was rolled out. This collaboration will bring to life “The Paris Widow,” a novel that unfolds as a seemingly idyllic vacation in Paris takes a dark turn when past secrets resurface and threaten a married couple’s life.

In collaboration, Little, Bell, Talitha Watkins from ColorCreative (which she co-established with Issa Rae and Deniese Davis), and the novelist herself will serve as executive producers for the series adaptation.

Brittany A. Little and Larissa Bell expressed their enthusiasm in a statement: “We’re thrilled to start this new phase of our careers at Universal Television, a place that feels like home. As people who are driven by purpose, we can’t wait to collaborate and create stories that highlight the unique while celebrating the universal human experience. Just like The Paris Widow does, it offers both suspense and romance, much like the City of Light has shown us recently.”

Through their initial collaboration agreement, Little and Bell will create and bring to life various projects in partnership with the Hollywood studio using their production company. These projects will be distributed across broadcast, streaming, and cable platforms. Prior to forming Little Bell, Little held the position of vice president of drama development at Universal Television, while Bell previously worked as a development executive for Amazon Studios.

“We can’t wait to get back together with the team at Little Bell! Brittany and Larissa’s knack for creativity, their business acumen, and their unbridled enthusiasm make them a fantastic match for Universal Television,” said Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television. “The Paris Widow” is an engaging and fast-paced cat-and-mouse thriller that showcases the captivating narratives we can expect from this partnership.”
