The iconic group, The Roots, are commemorating the 30-year milestone of their album “Do You Want More?!!!??!” by hosting a series of performances at the renowned Blue Note venue in New York City.
The band has planned to execute their anniversary concerts on March 13th, 14th, and 15th at both 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. In a recent Instagram video, Questlove and Black Thought hinted that while the residency honors the record, they won’t be playing it in its entirety. They described their major label debut as “the foundation for us to create 13, 14, 15, 16 albums” and “our starting point.
Is there a desire for more music?!! This exclamation marked the second album by The Roots, which was distributed under DGC Records. Widely regarded as a cornerstone in the sub-genre of jazz rap, the record has left a lasting impact on the musical landscape.
