As a connoisseur of cinema and a long-time observer of the vibrant Bollywood scene, I must say that the upcoming Netflix docu-series The Roshans is a truly enticing prospect. Having followed the careers of Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan for decades, I am eager to delve deeper into their generational legacy in the film industry.
The renowned trio – Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan – have come together for an extraordinary project: a Netflix documentary series titled “The Roshans.” This fascinating series, eagerly awaited since December 2024, will highlight the rich cinematic legacy of the Roshan family. Recently, a new poster was revealed, and we now know that the docu-series is scheduled to be released on January 17, 2025.
On December 18, 2024, Netflix’s Instagram account posted a fresh poster featuring The Roshans. In this poster, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan are pictured seated together, with a portrait of the late Roshan Lal Nagrath visible behind them.
The title hinted at the content and premiere date for the docuseries: “The Roshans: A Journey Through Music, Movies, and Family Legacy.” It announced, “Be ready to explore the world of The Roshans! Debuting on Netflix on January 17th.

Enthusiasts were bursting with anticipation in the comment area, expressing their feelings through exclamations like, “I can hardly wait! The clock is ticking,” and “Thrilled for ‘The Roshan Legacy’ reveal.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t help but express my excitement for the upcoming inspiring documentary showcasing the legends of the Indian film industry! Mark your calendars for January 17th. It seems many others are equally eager, judging by all the heartfelt comments and fiery emojis they’ve left behind.
In 2023, TopMob was first to announce that the film “The Roshans” is being directed by Shashi Ranjan. The documentary traces back its origins to Roshan Lal Nagrath, who moved to Mumbai in 1947 and became a renowned music director during the 1950s and 1960s. His legacy was carried on by his sons, Rakesh and Rajesh Roshan, who made their marks in acting, direction, and music. Today, that legacy lives on through Hrithik, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming docu-series will include captivating interviews with several Bollywood luminaries who have collaborated with the illustrious Roshan family. Notably, Rakesh Roshan expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Shah Rukh Khan earlier this year for his invaluable contributions to The Roshans’ cinematic journey.
