Although the release date has not been disclosed yet, Pednekar has expressed her enthusiasm for this project. Additionally, she revealed that she never thought she’d play a ‘typical female lead’ role on-screen.

During a recent conversation with HT City, Bhumi Pednekar expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming series “The Royals”. She emphasized that she doesn’t want to set her expectations too high, but rather hopes the show will be appreciated for what it truly is. So far, the previews they’ve released have received a lot of positive responses, which makes her extremely pleased to know that people are eager to watch her and her co-star Ishaan together. She considers Ishaan to be a talented actor.

The actress who initially made her mark with an unusual part in Dum Laga Ke Haisha candidly admits that she never envisioned such a dramatic change in her career trajectory. She further stressed that while she will be playing a classic heroine role in the upcoming series, she would not hesitate to undergo another transformation for the sake of a compelling character.

She demonstrated her point using an example, noting that the woman who began her career at DLKH a decade ago now plays a similar role as well.

Bhumi finds satisfaction in her work within the commercial movie industry, yet she acknowledges that her initial film experience was pivotal in shaping her desire for a unique cinematic journey. This includes creating engaging content while sparking dialogue or inciting change.

She contends that she’s created a niche for herself, one where she is accustomed to performing certain roles. However, if she were to cease playing those roles, her reputation could suffer and the audience might feel let down.

Earlier this year, a sneak peek for the upcoming series titled The Royals was unveiled at a unique Netflix launch event. This captivating show is helmed by directors Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana and boasts an impressive lineup of stars such as Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Milind Soman, Dino Morea, Chunky Panday, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Sumukhi Suresh, Udit Arora, Lisa Mishra and Luke Kenny.

Notably, the upcoming series marks the return of veteran actor Zeenat Aman after a long hiatus.
