The Sweet Way Logan's Dafne Keen Championed Hugh Jackman -- But Definitely Not Wolverine -- After Her Deadpool 3 Appearance

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I can confidently say that the latest developments have left me thoroughly excited and nostalgic. The reunion of Deadpool and Wolverine on the big screen was a dream come true for many fans like myself, and the addition of Dafne Keen as Laura/X-23 was the icing on the cake.

As a die-hard Marvel fan, I can’t help but be consistently amazed by the fresh content the Marvel Cinematic Universe keeps serving us, whether it’s on the big screen or through my Disney+ subscription. The day that Deadpool & Wolverine hit theaters was a joyous one for many of us who’ve been following the Marvel movies chronologically over the years. Finally, these iconic characters were brought into the shared universe, and it didn’t disappoint!

Deadpool 3‘s cast list had plenty of familiar faces, including Logan star Dafne Keen’s long-awaited return as Laura. Fans were thrilled to see her back, and are hoping she and Jackman to work together again in upcoming Marvel movies. While being interviewed by MTV to promote The Acolyte (after she had secretly filmed her role in Deadpool & Wolverine), the 19 year-old actress was asked who she’d like to share a Star Wars escape pod with. She responded:

As a gamer, I’d jump at the chance to be in a capsule alongside Hugh Jackman. Absolutely! Having Wolverine around would undoubtedly be tense, but with Hugh? It’s more like spending time with a friendly buddy. He’d serenade me, he’s just that kind of guy. Yes, count me in for a journey with Hugh Jackman, 100 percent!

Here it is. Although Keen seems to have a strong affection for Hugh Jackman, that doesn’t imply she’d enjoy being stuck in an escape pod with his iconic character. Instead, she prefers the actual individual, who would probably tend to her needs and serenade some tunes from The Greatest Showman.

Although Laura and Logan share a strong on-screen bond, even extending to Deadpool 3’s finale, it doesn’t imply she’d enjoy spending time confined with the mutant sporting claws. Remember, he has a hot temper that might not make for an enjoyable experience in close quarters.

It’s possible that “The Acolyte” series ended after only one season, but let’s hope we get to see Dafne Keen again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe down the line. Her presence alongside Logan and all his friends during the movie’s joyful conclusion certainly hints at a promising future.

It’s uncertain at this time how Deadpool and Wolverine will shape up future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) projects, but fans are eagerly anticipating a possible reunion of Logan, Wade, and Laura in epic crossover events such as Avengers: Doomsday. The studio’s plans for these projects, including Secret Wars, are still under wraps. However, there’s immense pressure on the studio to match the success they achieved with Infinity War and Endgame. Fortunately, fan enthusiasm is running high due to Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU as Doctor Doom.

Upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Captain America: Brave New World” will be in theaters on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. In the meantime, take a look at the 2025 movie release schedule.
