That’s a massive turnout, far surpassing what Nintendo anticipated.
Unfortunately, they find themselves in a tricky situation because they can’t fulfill every request. They’ve extended their apologies to all of us gamers who are eagerly waiting for our turn. The consoles are being distributed through the My Nintendo store, and it seems the demand has simply outpaced their preparations.
It appears that, despite the company’s efforts to reassure fans about potentially securing a Switch 2 during the second wave, many players won’t be receiving the new system on its release day. The company has mentioned that more stores will soon start taking pre-orders, offering some hope for fans. However, given that today is launch day, it seems obtaining this system may prove challenging for a while.
