The Tom Cruise Christmas Cake Has Arrived, And Glen Powell’s Post About His Top Gun: Maverick Co-Star’s Gift Is Making Me Jealous

Oh, to be a star in Hollywood and receive Tom Cruise’s legendary Christmas cake! As a movie enthusiast who has spent countless hours watching Tom’s blockbuster films, I can only dream of tasting that white chocolate coconut bundt of joy.

Instead of longing for the presents Santa Claus might bestow upon us, celebrities in Hollywood yearn for Tom Cruise’s famous Christmas cake. In a way, one could say that he plays the role of Saint Nicholas within the movie industry. For years, this talented actor has been sending out his exquisite white chocolate coconut cakes to many A-list stars, and following the success of Top Gun: Maverick, Glen Powell is among those who regularly receive the Cruise Christmas cake. Recently, Cruise announced that it’s once again the season for his delicious treat, leaving me envious.

While I was just sitting back watching the best Christmas movies with hot cocoa and sweet treats, those vittles don’t stack up to the holiday-themed treat Glen Powell has his hands on. Check out what the Top Gun: Maverick actor shared on Instagram:

Indeed, it’s quite something to be envious about. The fame-laden “Cruise Cake” has been savored by numerous A-list actors and, though I’m thrilled for Glen Powell, I can’t help but covet a taste. Recently, he posted a photo showing a note from Tom Cruise that read “Warmest wishes to you this Holiday Season.” In 2022, Powell himself mentioned receiving the Christmas cake, expressing:

This tradition has become quite well-known. If you’ve collaborated with Tom Cruise or worked on one of his films, you receive a special Tom Cruise-themed cake each year at Christmas. Over time, it’s evolved into a massive worldwide endeavor, with potentially thousands of cakes being distributed annually. It’s said to be the most delectable cake you’ll ever taste, reminiscent of a coconut bundt cake.

Tom Cruise is known for doing his own stunts but, no, he doesn’t bake all those cakes himself. He orders them from Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, California. I could order myself the exact Cruise Cake on Gold Belly, but it would cost me $130 and take over a month to reach my door (surely due to the demand the shop is dealing with this time of year). The pastry is described as a coconut bundt cake that has white chocolate chunks mixed in, cream cheese frosting and toasted coconut flakes on top. My mouth is watering!

For three decades now, Kirsten Dunst, known for her work with Tom Cruise in “Interview With The Vampire” from 1994, has been receiving the renowned Christmas cakes! Other actors like Tom Hanks, praising it as “off-the-charts fantastic”, and Hayley Atwell, Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible” colleague, have also shared their enthusiasm for this special treat.

On one occasion, Henry Cavill initially abstained from consuming a treat, believing it to be healthy. However, upon tasting it, he discovered to his delight that it was none other than an extravagant, indulgent coconut cake. In the year 2022, Glen Powell echoed similar sentiments about his own experience with this decadent dessert.

Friends who’ve tasted it can’t seem to get enough, constantly asking about its arrival around early December. Thus, I’m hosting a gathering at my home, which I’ve named the “Cruise Cake Party.” I’ll share slices of the Cruise cake with guests attending this event.

Regarding the prospect of a Christmas cake and the rumored collaboration between actors for Top Gun 3, it seems being acquainted with Tom Cruise, such as Glen Powell, could prove quite rewarding. Here’s to maintaining their friendship – and to many more coconut-flavored delights!

You might want to watch the prominent actors mentioned earlier by streaming the movie “Top Gun: Maverick” through a Paramount+ membership.
