The Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev Reunited With Co-Stars To Recreate Throwback Photo, And I’m Not The Only One Loving It

As a long-time fan of The Vampire Diaries, I must say that seeing Nina Dobrev, Candice King, and Kat Graham reunite is like a dream come true. It’s as if time has stopped, and we’re back in Mystic Falls once again. Their reunion at the Covington, Georgia convention was nothing short of magical, and their recreation of that iconic photo from the early years of the show just warms my heart.

For a period of time, vampire shows were everywhere on television, with many iconic small-screen vampires living in Mystic Falls. Although The Vampire Diaries hasn’t produced any new episodes since its ending in 2017, it remains one of the top shows currently streaming on Max, and fans continue to praise the series’ brooding atmosphere and characters. When Nina Dobrev, Candice King, and Kat Graham, former co-stars from the show, meet up off-screen, their reunion definitely garners interest from the fanbase.

Just such a reunion happened for the Covington, Georgia convention I Was Feeling Festive 2, where Dobrev, King and Graham took pics with fans and shared stories in Q&A panels. Most interestingly perhaps, is that the trio of TVD stars recreated a memorable pic they’d taken together during the early years of the show, and shared the vid on Instagram, as seen below, set to Simple Plan’s 2002 hit “I’m Just a Kid.”

Of course, the post by Dobrev and her costars was warmly received by fans who are eager for any opportunity to see these women reunite in whatever form possible. There’s a lot of buzz about whether “The Vampire Diaries” franchise will make a comeback, and it could be either a revival or a complete reboot. Many original cast members have shared their thoughts on possibly rejoining, with Nina Dobrev showing more inclination towards other vampire-themed productions instead of playing Elena again. Kat Graham has expressed her reluctance to come back for any revivals, but Julie Plec, the creator, mentioned previously that she would always be welcomed.

More recently, co-creator Julie Plec voiced her thoughts on returning to Mystic Falls following the news that Twilight is developing an animated series. In discussions with Paul Wesley, they pondered about this potential revisit. Additionally, she mentioned the possibility of reuniting these cherished characters for a standalone film instead of a continuous television series.
