I was lamenting this last week, but Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago has, in fact, launched in my region (albeit a few days late)! I’ve only just started raising the greatest hero in all the land, but already, it’s giving me plenty of Tamagotchi flashbacks and the occasional trauma. Side story: I recently purchased a Gudetama Tamagotchi and, refreshingly, the end goal is to have Gudetama die so that it can turn into an egg-based dish. It certainly takes the pressure off when you’re meant to let your pet perish to unlock all of its “final forms”.
Moving along with our discussion about Yolk Heroes, I’m crossing my fingers that my pint-sized elf character stays alive a bit longer, seeing as how my Tamagotchi had an unfortunate habit of kicking the bucket. There are still many mysteries to unravel here, like what would become of the world if the Frog Lord triumphs? Or why do fairies remind us of chocolates? Most crucially, who in the world is Level 99 Pam and why does her game save show up on my GameJoy?

This weekend, I’m immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of BIG (Big Indie Gaming) in Bilbao, Spain, eagerly searching for captivating mobile games amidst the bustling event. Known for its spotlight on Spanish developers and rich cultural heritage, this conference usually features a stellar indie showcase, albeit predominantly PC games. However, I’m optimistic about discovering some hidden treasures in the realm of mobile gaming!

After enjoying numerous adorable, laid-back games such as Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago and A Little to the Left for quite some time now, I feel it’s time for a change in my gaming routine. Specifically, I yearn for excitement and conflict. To appease these cravings, I plan on exploring Shadow of the Depth, an engaging top-down roguelike created by ChillyRoom.
The story unfolds in a gloomy, medieval fantasy setting, after a heartbreaking incident where monstrous fiends massacred an entire village, leaving behind only ashes. This is certainly a far cry from the mundane tasks of organizing stationery like paper clips and pencils. In terms of gameplay, developers claim it features rhythmic combat mechanics, implying that monster-slaying will be both noisy and fulfilling.

MarvelRivalsMarvelRivalsMarvelRivals- Okay I won’t do the Vampire Survivors joke again, but seriously this is one game that I’m majorly excited for that, sadly, isn’t on mobile. Still, while I’m jumping into it I’m also thinking about what I have played on mobile this year already, and I keep coming back to Balatro.
It’s captivating to ponder over Balatro as the epitome of minimalist gaming design, often overlooked due to its simple appearance. In truth, beneath that basic exterior lies a masterfully designed game that deserves recognition. I have more thoughts to share on this topic later on.

On weekends, I usually set purposeful agendas, seeing as I’m a person who enjoys planning. But this coming weekend, I’ve chosen to venture into the unknown and abandon any plans my mind might come up with. After months of early wedding preparations and the constant need to tick off tasks each weekend, I’m looking forward to making this one all about me.
I’m looking forward to having some personal time, catching up on my daily Cookie Run: Kingdom tasks, aiming to level up the fantastic new Epic cookie, Choco Drizzle Cookie, and dedicating an entire day to designing a distinctive kingdom. With the Kingdom of the Year event in CRK coming up soon (either this or the next week), I’m aiming high to secure a place among the top 100 this year, having only made it to the top 500 last year. Guess it’s all about going big if I want to make it big!
If anyone’s willing to see my final kingdom, I am more than happy to share my final results!

For the upcoming weekend, I intend to make headway in King Arthur: Legends Rise. I began playing it a few days back, but have only completed the tutorial up until now. My entire weekend is free, so I plan on immersing myself completely in this game. In other words, I’m going all-out as a gaming enthusiast.

This upcoming weekend will require some balancing act; I have Pokemon Go offering Gigantamax Lapras Raids and a Research Day on one side, while there are some non-mobile games vying for my attention on the other. The allure of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and SULFUR is strong, and I’ve got several games to quickly review for upcoming site features over the coming weeks.
When I have extra time on my mobile device, I’d likely be using it for Infinity Nikki, an incredible game, or Pokemon TCG Pocket, where I’m almost done completing my Pokedex and chasing the elusive Mew Card.
