Coming soon is an exciting cooperative action-adventure game that takes inspiration from Arthurian tales, titled “Tides of Annihilation“. This new release represents the premiere AAA production from Chinese game studio, Eclipse Glow Games, utilizing the advanced Unreal Engine 5 technology.

Setting
Characters assume the part of Gwendolyn, whose voice is lent by Jennifer English from Shadowheart, who possesses a mystical gray mist’s power to summon ethereal knights to aid in combat. One knight acts aggressively, while another focuses on defense.
As I navigate through the digital streets of this once-familiar city, now a chilling shadow of its former self, I can’t help but feel a sense of unease. London, my beloved home, has been overtaken by an otherworldly invasion, turning it into a haunting, industrial wasteland. Yet, amidst the modern chaos, there are Arthurian echoes that resonate within me – medieval themes, towering knights, ancient enchantments, and mythical beasts that seem to have leaped straight from the pages of legend.
Gameplay
In this game, you’ll find a fusion of the action styles from Devil May Cry and Astral Chain. Characters like Gwendolyn can summon and command their knights much like the Legions in Astral Chain, while also performing flashy combo sequences and high-flying juggles similar to Dante’s moves in Devil May Cry.
Gwendolyn has the ability to wield four different kinds of weapons, each providing a unique gameplay experience, such as a sword, bow, and fist-fighting techniques.
As reported by its creators, this game offers a whopping 30+ challenging boss battles and approximately 30 hours worth of exciting gameplay. Much like the game Stellar Blade, players can accumulate armor for aesthetic reasons, and they have the freedom to tailor their gaming experience through an intricate skill system.
It’s still unclear how the cooperative feature works, however, it can be assumed with confidence that Gwendolyn and her knights may be selectable playable characters in the game.
Release Date
As of now, we don’t have a set date for when Tides of Annihilation will be released. Eclipse Glow Games is focusing on fine-tuning and fully developing the game before it hits the shelves. According to an interview with Wccftech, the game entered its beta phase last year. At this moment in 2025, it’s in the alpha stage, and if development proceeds as planned, we might expect a launch window in 2026.
Platforms
Tides of Annihilation can be played across multiple platforms, making sure that gamers who want to enjoy it have no limitations due to console exclusivity. You’ll find it on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, as well as on computers through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
