Tim Dillon is hard to pin down, politically speaking.
1. He’s more moderate than progressive, but he finds some traditionalist policies difficult to accept.
2. While he might not be appalled by the concept of Trump 2.0, he disagrees with the President’s harsh stance on illegal immigration.
One thing is clear. Dillon sees right through today’s Legacy Media outlets.
This week, the comedian had an extended conversation with Elle Reeve from CNN. Gradually, he dismantled several of her persistent storylines point by point.
The biggest? Dillon and his podcast chums helped Donald Trump win re-election.
He didn’t shout or raise his voice. Instead, he kept the discussion calm and composed, much like how Kate Winslet held on during the Titanic disaster of 1997. He spoke articulately and showed great patience as Reeve persisted with her stories.
In the process, he mocked the far-Left news outlet to its face.
As a passionate movie enthusiast, I found myself reflecting on why we’ve drifted away from our traditional media sources, just like how old favorite films sometimes lose their charm over time. It wasn’t about pointing fingers at alleged biases or constant accusations of false news. Instead, it’s more about the evolving landscape of entertainment and information consumption.
He chose a more elegant approach.
Dillon started off, “For ages now, the media has been repeating essentially the same message, which often bores people.” He continued, “As for sources such as CNN and Fox News, they’ve taken opposing stances on the same issue.
He pointed out that young Americans have been raised with internet access and tend to rely on digital news platforms rather than the “artificial, formal corporate language often associated with traditional mainstream media.
Ouch.
Later, Reeve questioned Dillon about the influence of what was called the “Dudebro” podcast empire, yet Dillon held firm in his stance.
or
Later, Reeve challenged Dillon on the impact attributed to the “Dudebro” podcast network, but Dillon remained steadfast in his beliefs.
or
Reeve brought up the topic of the supposed influence of the “Dudebro” podcast network with Dillon later on, and despite this, Dillon continued to defend his point.
Dillon remarked that it’s unclear if comedians have grown more intelligent or the media has become less insightful. He essentially returned the reporter’s query by suggesting that the media has turned out to be repetitive and dull, while the internet serves as a refreshing alternative.
Other revelations from the long-form interview:
Dillon mentioned that the organizers of his podcast contacted Senator Bernie Sanders and Governor Tim Walz with invitations for them to join his podcast, likely prior to Election Day.
Both declined the invitation.

Dillon refuted the suggestion made during the interview that him, along with Joe Rogan, Theo Von, and Andrew Schulz, influenced the election results by having Donald Trump and potential Vice President J.D. Vance as guests on their podcasts.
Dillon skewered the talking point with restraint.
As a movie reviewer, I’d put it this way: “Following the tumultuous campaign of an unpopular candidate, entering the race late, one can hardly watch these podcasts without a sense of intrigue – especially given that for the last four years, we were led to believe that an elderly gentleman was in fact serving as our president. This unexpected twist was interrupted by the gusty winds outside their recording studio.
He pressed on.
[Kamala Harris] wasn’t well-liked or a standout in Democratic politics prior to this, and her communication tactics were less than impressive, as many have acknowledged. I find it hard to believe that she lost due to just a few podcasters, and that they were solely responsible for her defeat. It seems more like an attempt to avoid admitting the shortcomings of running an unpopular candidate on a platform that didn’t resonate with American voters.
Reeve wouldn’t give up her narrative. So Dillon kept setting her straight.
Dillon commented, ‘It’s hard to believe that Theo Von’s influence is on par with that of intelligence agencies or large mainstream media outlets, it just sounds unreasonable.’
