Timothe Chalamet Is an Unrecognizable Dork in A24’s Marty Supreme Images

As a lifelong cinephile with a penchant for unconventional storytelling and a soft spot for sports movies, I can hardly contain my excitement for Josh Safdie’s directorial debut, ‘Marty Supreme‘. Timothée Chalamet’s transformation into Marty Reisman is bound to be nothing short of breathtaking, much like Adam Sandler’s metamorphosis in ‘Uncut Gems’.

Actor Timothée Chalamet is stepping into the sports arena with Josh Safdie’s table tennis film titled “Marty Supreme”. Filming for this project started at the end of September. In this movie, Chalamet will portray Marty Reisman, a character inspired by the late table tennis champion of the same name. Following Josh Safdie’s signature style, the transformation of Chalamet into Marty Reisman is expected to be so dramatic that he will barely resemble himself in the role, much like Adam Sandler did in “Uncut Gems”.

Beyond Timothée Chalamet, the movie “Marty Supreme” also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and rapper-singer Tyler, the Creator. The latter will be making his debut in a feature film role, but he’s no stranger to comedy or music production, having won Grammys. He’s previously appeared in sketch comedy on Adult Swim’s “Loiter Squad” and voiced Jesus in “Big Mouth”. On the other hand, Paltrow is making her comeback to the big screen after a brief hiatus since “Avengers: Endgame”. Although she had mentioned Robert Downey Jr. could lure her back to acting, it seems the allure of Safdie’s script was too strong for her to resist.
