At the German premiere of “A Complete Unknown” on Friday, Timothée Chalamet was accompanied by Kylie Jenner, a member of the Kardashian family.
At the 75th Berlin Film Festival, Timothée Chalamet made a stylish appearance on the red carpet in a complete pink outfit on Valentine’s Day. Kylie Jenner, known for her role on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and as a successful entrepreneur through her cosmetics and fashion ventures, was seated next to him in the theater for the premiere of James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic.

The celebrated actor from both France and America made a visit to Berlin, where he discussed his Oscar-nominated character in the movie. At the film’s press event, he was promptly questioned about politics. When asked how portraying Dylan affected his perspectives on life and politics, given the “surge of populism and the radical right,” Chalamet initially appeared to want to avoid addressing the issue directly.
As a huge fan, I’ve noticed that he often delves into the realm of Bob Dylan and even his iconic role in “Dune”. Regarding the political aspects, he cautioned, “I don’t think it’s solely a political matter.” Instead, he highlighted the prophetic nature of Dylan’s music, warning against the dangers of cult-like figures. While I can’t speak for him directly (he’s very much alive and residing in Malibu), my personal interpretation is to stay cautious around individuals who claim to have all the answers. This, to me, is a clear message echoed in Frank Herbert’s “Dune”.
He frequently praises Dylan by saying: “I saw him paving a path for other artists, essentially — since I’m an actor, not a musician — and this was incredibly inspiring to me afterwards. Of course, it was James Mangold who wrote such an amazing script that continues to be a source of inspiration.
1. “The entire experience was incredibly thrilling, particularly the parts involving concerts and the Newport Film Festival. This movie means so much to me that I’d dedicate a year to covering it. Speaking further, Bob Dylan has been a beacon of inspiration for me, serving as my guide up until now. His unique individuality and defiance to conform to the mainstream have captivated me. To have the opportunity to delve into this man and this era for nearly six years? What an incredible blessing.”
2. “The whole thing was really exhilarating, especially the concert aspects and the Newport Film Festival. I’d be willing to work on promoting this movie for a year. To put it simply, Bob Dylan has been a guiding light for me since then. His distinct individuality and refusal to conform to the masses have fascinated me. Being granted the chance to explore this man and his time for over five years? That’s quite the gift.”
Lastly:
3. “From start to finish, it was a truly exhilarating experience, with the concert segments and Newport Film Festival being highlights. I’d be happy to dedicate a year to promoting this movie. To express it plainly, Bob Dylan has been a source of inspiration for me, serving as a guide even up until today. His individuality and unwillingness to conform have captivated my interest. And to study this man and his period for nearly six years? That’s quite the fortunate opportunity.”
Chalamet will have no more chances to discuss the movie since its promotional activities are wrapping up, and he mentioned this during his conversation. The Berlin Film Festival is taking place from February 13th to the 23rd.
