If you’re an experienced mobile gamer, you might recall a charming retro-style Metroidvania game titled Tiny Dangerous Dungeons that was launched approximately 10 years ago. Exciting news for fans, this classic game is making a comeback as Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake! That’s right, it has been remade and is ready to be enjoyed once again. So, get ready to dive back into the action!

There’s no need to feel anxious about waiting if the nostalgic feeling is already creeping up on you. The Tiny Dangerous Dungeons Remake won’t keep us waiting for long, as it launches on both iOS and Android platforms on March 7th. If you, like me, find it challenging to remember dates but can’t wait to play this delightful title when it’s released, pre-registration is now open.

Harry Slater initially evaluated the game when it debuted in 2015 and gave it a 4-star rating. He admired its originality while evoking nostalgic emotions that Game Boy enthusiasts secretly yearn for. However, it seems there’s been a slight alteration with the remake. The sepia color scheme is no longer present; instead, there’s a burst of additional colors. Although it retains an old-school aesthetic, it no longer evokes the specific feel of the Game Boy as strongly as before.

A whole new world

That’s not a bad thing, of course. Personally, I prefer the more colourful aesthetic. It still gives me those nostalgic pangs while being more interesting to look at than before. The facelift isn’t the only change it has received, though.

In addition to creating a brand-new soundtrack and enhancing the game physics, Developer Jussi Simpanen aims to address some minor issues pointed out by Mr. Slater in the initial launch. Furthermore, the main dungeon has been expanded to twice its original size, featuring five extra bosses. Moreover, there are hidden surprises to discover, although the developer is keeping those under wraps for now.

Pre-orders are now open for the remake of Tiny Dangerous Dungeons, which will be released on March 7th on both the App Store and Google Play. This premium game will retail for $3.99 or its local equivalent. You can pre-register for it on your chosen platform by clicking the buttons provided below.
