I trust you’re not growing weary of discussing tires, as there is more to come. (And honestly, you shouldn’t be – tire season two was exceptional!)
Netflix has given another chance to the comedy series Tires, with a third season scheduled for release in 2026. Created by comedian Shane Gillis, featuring standout performance from Steve Gerben, and directed by John McKeever.
In the story of “Tires“, young and inexperienced Will, who inherited an auto repair chain from his father, struggles to revive the tire-shop business while dealing with continual harassment from his cousin Shane, who is also an employee there.
In the second season, following the triumph of Will and Shane’s innovative marketing strategy – offering tires to customers at cost while promoting additional repair services – these two characters find themselves eagerly pursuing personal and career advancement, yet seemingly unaware of the potential financial implications. As Netflix puts it, they overstep without fully considering the business costs. From my perspective, their growth, though hinted at, is more subtle – adding to the show’s allure. (To be fair, there might be some minor personal and professional development.)
Gillis, Gerben, and McKeever create and oversee the production of “Tires“. Additionally, Brandon James from Rough House (Danny McBride’s production company) is also an executive producer, as are Brian Stern and Kenneth Slotnick from AGI Entertainment Media & Management. Lastly, Becky Astphan is another executive producer.
Alongside Gillis and Gerben, the cast also features Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias. Notable guest stars include Andrew Schulz, Vince Vaughn, Thomas Haden Church, Ron White, Jon Lovitz, Veronika Slowikowska, and Steph Tolev.
The film titled ‘Tires’ is the second creation from Dad Sick Productions, a production company co-founded by Gillis and McKeever, after Gillis’ stand-up special named ‘Beautiful Dogs'”
or
“Following their first production, ‘Beautiful Dogs’, comes the new project titled ‘Tires’ from the production house Dad Sick Productions, co-founded by Gillis and McKeever.
Did you know that the movie “Tires” was filmed in Westchester, Pennsylvania, right beside Gerben’s actual father’s tire shop, Tires, Etc.? Interestingly, the old carpet warehouse they used already had car lifts installed – it turned out that this particular Tires, Etc. branch (owned by Mr. Gerben, who owns several) was planning to expand. To complete the set, Gillis personally covered the additional costs.
