Having read about her long battle with illness and the outpouring of love and support from her family, friends, and colleagues in the film industry, I cannot help but be moved by this tragic loss.
Tragically, Tishaa Kumar, 20-year-old daughter of Krishan Kumar and cousin of Bhushan Kumar, passed away on July 18, 2024. She had bravely battled an illness for a prolonged period. The funeral ceremony was held on July 22, and a memorial service followed in the evening. Notable figures from the film industry such as Kartik Aaryan, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and more came to express their condolences.

Statement about Tishaa Kumar’s death and funeral
Previously, it was announced that Tishaa Kumar, who was Krishan Kumar’s daughter, had sadly passed away the previous day after a long struggle with an illness. The family is going through a tough time, so please understand if they seek solitude during this mourning period.
The funeral ceremony for the deceased was originally planned for July 21, however, it was necessary to delay it due to unfavorable weather conditions in Mumbai, as reported by ETimes. The family made this announcement in a statement they released, adding that “The prayer meeting will still occur according to plan. It is scheduled at Ruby ballroom, Hotel Sahara Star, on July 22 at 4 pm. Your attendance and encouragement during this trying time would be greatly valued.”
For those unfamiliar, Tishaa made one of her final public outings at the November 2023 premiere of the crime thriller “Animal.”
