Todd Chrisley Apparently Isn’t ‘Open’ To Meeting Daughter Savannah’s Boyfriend, And The Couple Shared Thoughts

Following the conviction of Todd and Julie Chrisley for bank fraud and other federal crimes in 2022, they were each sentenced to prison terms which they began serving at different facilities in early 2023. Presently, they’re serving their sentences. Meanwhile, life continues for their family members, with daughter Savannah starting a relationship with former football player Robert Shiver. Apparently, Todd has not been receptive to meeting Shiver, and both he and Savannah are discussing this issue now.

During a recent episode of Savannah Chrisley’s podcast “Unlocked,” the topic of feelings towards her 55-year-old father came up. In this conversation, she had Robert Shiver as a guest, who is approximately 12 years older than his girlfriend. They spoke about their families and discussed the opinions of their parents regarding their relationship. It was during this part of the discussion that Savannah disclosed her father’s reluctance to meet her boyfriend, and Shiver expressed a fair perspective on the matter.

It seems quite logical, doesn’t it? That’s his daughter, yet we don’t really know who this man is, given his past complications. Todd tends to express himself strongly in specific circumstances and matters. I’m not sure if there are many instances where people can’t guess how he feels, as they usually do.

It was confirmed around autumn 2023 that Robert Shiver and Savannah Chrisley were in a relationship. Prior to this, Shiver was married to Lindsay Shiver, with whom he has three kids. In July 2023, Shiver made headlines as he was implicated in a murder-for-hire scheme allegedly orchestrated by Lindsay and her supposed partner, Terrence Bethel. During the podcast broadcast on YouTube, Savannah acknowledged her boyfriend’s past issues while discussing her father’s sentiments regarding these matters.

It’s unlikely people envision their child’s future spouse as being significantly older, previously divorced, and already having children. That doesn’t seem like the kind of partner one would wish for their daughter.

As for me, I’ve found myself in a different position compared to my father, Todd Chrisley, regarding a visit from my girlfriend. Unlike him, I’ve welcomed the opportunity to meet Julie Chrisley, whom I admire greatly and refer to as an “incredible human being.” I had the chance to do so when I accompanied Savannah, her brother, Grayson, and niece, Chloe, to visit Mrs. Chrisley at Lexington Medical Center. The encounter was heartwarming, and I’ve always believed that approaching such meetings with genuine respect and admiration is key.

For me, given my familiarity with you and your group, I approached this situation with a positive outlook. Essentially, someone dear to all of us was involved, which made my expectations high. Consequently, I didn’t come up short, and we had a wonderful time together. She seemed to have enjoyed herself immensely, judging by her frequent laughter.

In 2024, a court decision found me, Julie Chrisley, not guilty, but I was still ordered to serve seven years in prison. Despite this seemingly contradictory verdict, my sentence remains unchanged, and I’ve since filed an appeal. Meanwhile, my beloved husband Todd is serving a 12-year term at a Federal Prison Camp in Florida, which is due for closure. In these challenging times, our daughter Savannah has been a beacon of strength, advocating on our behalf, sharing updates about our wellbeing in prison, and occasionally providing glimpses into our new reality TV series.

Despite the ongoing situation with her parents being incarcerated, it appears Savannah Chrisley is progressing in her life. Her latest podcast episode hints at a content relationship between her and Robert Shiver.
